The campus of the Turkish-German University was inaugurated with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel. Merkel emphasized the importance of the civil society dialogue established through the education bridge in the relations between politics and governments, and emphasized that Turkish-German relations in the field of science have deep roots dating back to ancient times.
